The Artist
Stutesman, awarded the Equine Artist of Distinction, by the North American Horsemen Association. Stutesman (German for keeper of the herd) began painting horses at the age of three, nearly fifty years ago. At the age of eleven the artist's creation of a very realistic horse sculpture opened the door to training with a metropolitan professional art league for a number of years. With over eight years of classical training under world class teachers, Dr. WM. Kuchler, private color advice from Pro DeBeers, and others, the life-long study continues daily. The artist's education also included college and university degrees, honors and Phi Theta Kappa, with a focus in science.
The artist's professional career began while still in high school, illustrating for a national retail chain. A successful textile designer before the age of twenty, the artist has been painting horses all of her life and enjoying every minute of it.
